At AIT Home Delivery, we know that a great final-mile experience can make all the difference. From clear communication to precise and reliable deliveries, customers expect more than just their items arriving on time — they want confidence, convenience and peace of mind. That’s exactly why our use of the what3words addressing system is proving so valuable for both our customers and our delivery teams.

The results speak for themselves. On Trustpilot, AIT Home Delivery has earned an overall rating of 4.6 stars from more than 220,000 reviews. An impressive 84% of customers awarded us five stars, with a further 5% giving four stars. Across these reviews, customers consistently highlight timely deliveries, clear verbal updates with accurate ETAs, friendly two-person crews — and increasingly, the ability to use what3words to guide drivers to the exact location ensuring pinpoint final mile delivery.
There are two main ingredients to the perfect delivery: communication and accuracy. Our customers regularly mention both. Many praise the way our teams keep them informed throughout the delivery journey, from advance time slots to courtesy calls shortly before arrival. Just as importantly, customers say our drivers are able to find even the most remote, complex or hard-to-describe locations with ease — thanks to what3words.
AIT Home Delivery adopted what3words more than two years ago as part of our ongoing commitment to improving the final mile. The global addressing system divides the world into 3-metre squares, each identified by a unique combination of three words — a what3words address. This allows customers to specify an exact entrance, driveway or preferred drop-off point, rather than relying solely on postcodes, which can be inaccurate or imprecise.
Customers can add their what3words address directly via the AIT tracking link or share it with their retailer at the point of purchase. This is particularly useful for new-build properties not yet visible on maps, rural homes, large sites, apartment complexes or buildings with multiple entrances. For example, ///daisy.storm.guard pinpoints the exact front entrance of AIT Home Delivery’s headquarters in Northampton.
