As we step into a new year, it’s an ideal time to reflect on what made 2025 such a landmark year for AIT Home Delivery. From record-breaking volumes to an outstanding Black Friday performance, the past 12 months was not only defined by scale and growth, but robustness and an award-winning service that delivered even at the busiest of times.
Record-breaking Delivery Performance Across the UK
AIT Home Delivery closed the year having completed 2.8 million deliveries across the UK, compared to 2 million in 2024. That’s a 40% year-on-year increase, underlining both growing customer demand and AIT’s ability to scale without compromising on service.
This success was reflected in customer feedback throughout the year. We earned over 70,000 excellent reviews while maintaining an impressive 4.6-star average rating across our UK operations. The quality of our service didn’t go unnoticed by the industry either – AIT was officially crowned Home Delivery Operator of the Year at the prestigious 2025 MT Awards, cementing our position as a leader in the final-mile delivery sector.
Rising to the Peak Challenge
Peak season poses the ultimate test for any home delivery network – and AIT delivered without exception. In the months of November and December alone, more than 560,000 UK home deliveries were successfully completed during which time performance remained strong. November 2025 set a new benchmark, becoming the highest-volume month on record with 276,815 deliveries completed. This laid the foundation for a highly successful Black Friday and Christmas peak.
Black Friday week once again proved to be a defining moment, with volumes jumping 50% above a standard week to reach 87,000 deliveries – an average of 15,000 drops per day. Even under this intense pressure, our final-mile delivery operation maintained consistency, reliability and high-quality service levels.
The busiest single day of the year fell on Tuesday, 2 December, when 14,493 deliveries were completed – our highest-ever daily volume. More than 50% of Black Friday week’s deliveries were completed in just three days, highlighting the strength and flexibility of the network.
The week ending 7 December became AIT’s busiest week on record, with 86,738 successful home deliveries. Throughout this intense period, we maintained our 98% next-day coverage across the UK, proving that our award-winning service remains consistent even during peak demand periods.
International Expansion and Infrastructure Investment
2025 also marked a significant milestone in AIT’s geographical expansion with our highly anticipated launch in Germany. We entered the German market with a comprehensive ecosystem that includes 12 delivery depots, a dedicated returns facility, one main sortation hub, and a storage and fulfillment hub. This infrastructure, supported by a fleet of 50 branded trailers and 80 two-person delivery crews, gave us the capacity to handle 1,000 deliveries daily from the day of launch. We made an immediate impact—in just five months of operation, our German business earned an impressive 4.7-star rating on Trustpilot across over 5,000 reviews.
Meanwhile, we continued strengthening our UK presence with strategic infrastructure investments. New facilities opened in Cumbernauld and Co Antrim, ensuring we stay close to the communities we serve while enhancing our operational capabilities across Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Sustainability and Social Responsibility

Our success extends far beyond delivery volumes – we’re committed to making a positive impact on both the environment and the communities we serve. In 2025, we recycled an impressive 115,000 mattresses and bed frames, equivalent to covering 80 football pitches, while ethically processing more than 49,000 white goods items. These efforts demonstrate our commitment to the circular economy and responsible waste management.
We also made significant investments in reducing our carbon footprint. Thirty-five new tractor units joined our fleet, with five of them trialing hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO), which can achieve up to a 90% reduction in CO₂ emissions compared to fossil fuels. This trial represents our ongoing commitment to finding innovative ways to minimise our environmental impact while maintaining operational excellence.
Our teams also demonstrated remarkable community spirit throughout 2025. Collectively, AIT Home Delivery teams volunteered over 900 hours to support charitable causes across the UK and raised more than £12,700 for various organisations. This community engagement reflects our values and our commitment to giving back to the areas where we operate.
Looking Ahead to 2026
As one customer perfectly summarised:
“Thank you to AIT for all your efforts this year. And particularly want to emphasise the extension of the thanks to all the teams in AIT that we might not get to see more on the operational side across the UK. The metrics below speak for themselves, holding strong through peak.”
These stats tell a powerful story – but they only scratch the surface of the teamwork, service, and operational excellence behind AIT Home Delivery’s success in 2025 across the UK and Europe. Every milestone reached was made possible by the commitment of our people and the robustness of our systems, proving that AIT Home Delivery can deliver exceptional results even under the most demanding circumstances.
As we move into 2026, our focus remains firmly on growth, innovation, sustainability, and delivering award-winning final-mile solutions with our customers at the heart of everything we do.
Here’s to building on an exceptional year and making 2026 even stronger.
